REMEMBER THAT NYLT IS IN A NEW LOCATION IN 2012.
Please read the following carefully before registering.

1. Read the Participant Invitation letter and FAQ.

2. If you think you are qualified, talk to your unit leader and get approval to apply. Bring the leader the Leader Approval Form to sign. Please read the form and sign it and have your Parents sign it BEFORE you take it to your Leader.

3. Have an adult register you by clicking the "Continue >>" button below.

There are a number of pages that you will be led thru. The first page asks if you are a returning user of a new user. Most people are new users. The next pages checks that a Scout meets the age requirement (Venturers automatically do). This is followed by a second general information page on the PARTICIPANT. This is followed by an "information forms" page which ask you questions such as UNIT number, district, council, rank, leadership experience, etc. You will need the Leader's name and phone. His/Her e-mail address is also requested. You will be asked for a parent e-mail and phone number. The phone number should be a contact number where a parent can be reached while the Participant is at NYLT.

You will then be asked to select an option on the course. There is only 1. Click the check box.

The next screen shows the current fee. It is $275 until May 1 and will increase to $295 on May 2.

When you get to the "Checkout" Button, it will ask for another e-mail (may be a parent's address previously given) and a password. It will ask for information on the person paying the fees and give you the option of using a credit-card or echeck. An Adult must fill out this section.

Following that, you should have the opportunity to print a receipt. Make a copy of this for your records.

4. Mail the completed and signed approval form to San Francisco Bay Area Council, before 11:28 AM May 14th but the sooner the better. Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your registration is NOT complete until the signed Unit Leader Approval Form is received by Council..

5. Mark Thursday, May 17th on your calendar for the REQUIRED Orientation Meeting

6. Assure that you have a copy of a BSA Annual Health and Medical Record to be turned in at Orientation.
7. Read the Code of Conduct and bring a copy signed by you and your parents/guardian to Orientation on May 17th.

Note: Most errors in registration in the past have been due to the inability to read handwriting on manual applications. This is why we have gone to the electronic registration.

Please be careful typing your e-mail. We use that to communicate and if it is wrong, you will not get notices!!!!!
